On the first day when you land at the Srinagar Airport, our representative from Fluto Holidays will escort you to your stay in the hotel. There you will be welcomed with a hot serving of Kahva – the original tea of Kashmir.
Once you are finished with the tea and all, we will take you to Dal Lake – the representative of Kashmir. Here, take a ride on the water of Dal Lake in a Shikara (row boat) and reach Nehru Place which is in the middle of the lake.
Take a round there and enjoy watching children playing, Char Chinar, Floating gardens and floating shops. It’s so beautiful that it is often compared to Gondola rides in Venice!
This is the day which we have assigned to take you around the city and famous Mughal Gardens. Nishat Bag and Shalimar Bag are two Mughal Gardens which tell the tale of bygone eras. What is actually to be seen here is the sequence in which they are made – just like straight rows and yet so beautiful. The red colours of the walls make a perfect combination with the greenery around!
After lunch in one of the restaurants in the city, we shall move on to see Shankracharya Temple. There are stairs to climb and you will completely enjoy the scenic beauty of the place and its surroundings. Late evening we will head back to the hotel for dinner and night stay.
Our next destination in the tour is Gulmarg which once happened to be hotspot for almost all the Bollywood movies. Today, it’s much more known for it’s enticing natural beauty and skiing (in winters). There are two ways to explore it – one on the back of a pony and secondly by ropeway or Gondola Ride. You can opt for any of them or both!
Take a ride from here to Kongdoori Mountain (only through ropeway) and visit the 110 years old St. Mary Church! There is also one ages old Shiva Temple – if time allows we will also visit it.
On the way back, we will take you through the road from where you can see Shepherd huts which are unique in their own sense!
Sonmarg is another jewel of Srinagar. It’s somewhat close to Sonmarg when it comes to natural beauty – but difference can only be felt.
From here we will move forward to Sonar – often called “Meadow of Gold”! It’s called so because when the rays of Sun fall on the top of mountain hillnotch; it seems as if the entire Sonar Valley has turned into Gold.
From the bottom of the mountain; enjoy the scenic beauty of Thajiwas Glacier and take back some beautiful memories. Lunch shall be served mid – way and for dinner and night stay we will go back to the hotel.
Pahalgam is one place which marks the very presence of Srinagar. It’s a little deep in Srinagar Valley and gives you a better picture as how the entire valley is! Being here means you have a good idea about how Srinagar actually is.
Maybe that’s the reason why it is also called – Valley of Kashmir! Here you can explore three main attractions of Kashmir – Apple orchids, Saffrom Fields and Kangri (a small kettle made out of tree bark in which Kashmiri people carry burning coal pieces to keep the cold at bay)!
Enjoy your typical Kashmiri lunch here at one of the restaurants. By the time you will reach Kashmir town, it will be evening.
If time allows we will take you to some of the handicraft emporiums. Here you can shop for souvenirs’ like Kashmiri wooden crafts, hand- woven carpets, ethnic dresses, leather shoes, wallets, belts and cardigans, Pashmina Shawls and Ponchus’.
In the evening, we shall return to the hotel for dinner and night stay.
On the last day of the tour; we shall see you off to Srinagar Airport for you further journey!
